The soprano pipistrelle (Pipistrellus pygmaeus) was separated from the common pipistrelle (Pipistrellus pipistrellus) only in 1999. During the current research the soprano pipistrelle is more common during autumn migration at Pape, Latvia than “common” pipistrelle – Pipistrellus pipistrellus. Photo: Viesturs Vintulis.
